In January 2026, Anderson Coach & Travel had the privilege of participating in the 100th American Bus Association Marketplace — a milestone event for the group travel industry.
The American Bus Association, also known as ABA, is an organization for those who are involved in group bus travel or tourism tied to North America bus tours. Each year, ABA hosts Marketplace, one of the largest and most influential gatherings of motorcoach and group travel professionals in the world.
The American Bus Association’s main goal is to be the voice of the bus and group travel industry. Marketplace brings travel and tourism professionals from all over the world together to promote industry standards, provide us with training and research, gives us the opportunity to network with fellow members, and connect us with other travel operators and new destinations to bring to you.
We made the rewarding trek this year to Reno, Nevada! Reno offered us an experience of outdoor adventure, arts and culture — which includes hundreds of murals around the entire city — dining, and tourism all beyond the convention floor. This adventure proved that #BusesMoveBusiness.
Anderson Coach & Travel was proud to be represented by two members of our tour department, one member of our charter team, and our President Doug Anderson. Together, they had the opportunity to learn, network, and celebrate the future of group travel at this year’s event.
This year was a special year as it marked ABA’s 100th anniversary. Entering its 89th year in 2026, Anderson Coach & Travel recognizes the power of longevity and was a sponsor of the festivities. Doug Anderson was honored at the event for his role behind the scenes of the event and for his time on the ABA Board. While Doug’s term ended on the ABA Board, his son and Anderson COO Evan Anderson was named to serve in the same capacity.
While at ABA Marketplace, the Anderson team reflected on our first 100 years and the history and future of the industry. Filled with innovation, sustainability, development, and expanded connectivity for group travel and transportation, this marks the beginning of the future.
As a group, we have returned home with key knowledge about where the travel and tourism market is headed, where the demand is going to be in the upcoming years, and a better understanding of what our customers want and need. Whether it’s a charter bus rental for an event, team, or trip, or a guided bus tour, Anderson is your travel solution.
We come home with stronger and new relationships with companies that open our eyes to new destinations and itineraries to help us plan the best vacation bus tours. Between education sessions, one-on-one appointments, and informal conversations, there is so much new information that we have learned and can bring back for the benefit and growth of our company. We hope you see the opportunity ahead and share our excitement as we continue discovering new places together!
Now operating under the leadership of the third generation of the Anderson family, Doug Anderson noted that the legacy of founders O.D. and Dot Anderson carries on in the business.
“Our team members become part of the Anderson family, and that sense of care and respect continues to drive us forward,” said Anderson.
Supporting the development of the company workforce is a pillar of that mission. The company has also recently added a driver manager position and hired a new safety manager, strengthening training and safety programs. The company continues to recruit drivers and offers a sign-on bonus.
Drivers enjoy competitive pay, flexible scheduling, paid training, and the opportunity to work with modern, well-maintained equipment. Whether you’re an experienced driver or interested in starting a rewarding career in transportation, Anderson Coach & Travel offers a supportive, team-oriented environment where employees are truly valued.
