I've been with the Anderson family as a tour director since 1986. I had the privilege of traveling to Alaska in 1987 with the late O.D. Anderson and still maintain close contact with several of those passengers. I was blessed to work with O.D. and the coach operators from whom I learned so much. We did not have computers, cell phones, etc. then so much of our knowledge was acquired from first hand experience.
I love traveling throughout the New England states and have had the privilege of visiting there many times. I especially enjoy Vermont and Maine. Other favorite destinations are Mackinac Island and tours in rural areas and Amish country. I like the Nashville holiday trips and going to the Country Music Association Awards!
I am a retired 2nd grade teacher with 30 years of service. I had so many wonderful stories to share with my students, from panning for gold in Alaska to finding fossils in Moosonee. My students learned so much through my travels and even now if I see them, they will mention my travel stories. I would have never seen all that I have if I had traveled alone.
I’m very active in my local church. I also do charter trips for our volunteer fire department where I’m auxiliary president. We have raised over $160,000 for our department by doing charters or package tours. In my free time, I enjoy reading and gardening and I have a great-niece and great-nephew who are the apple of my eye!
I have never regarded this as a job, but rather the chance to help people visit our wonderful country on a carefree vacation.
