The stars at night are big and bright in the Lone Star State and this great tour will show you the highlights! From a rodeo to The Alamo, you’ll never forget Tantalizing Texas!


Day 1 • Effingham, IL: We kick off our terrific Texas tour with overnight in Effingham.

Day 2 • Tulsa, OK: Our journey continues to Oologah, OK where we learn about “Oklahoma’s Favorite Son” at the Will Rogers Birthplace Ranch. Overnight in Tulsa. (B)

Day 3 • Canyon, TX: Before we cross into the Lone Star State this afternoon, get your kicks at the Route 66 Museum. Spend the night in Canyon, TX. (B, L)
Day 4 • Fort Stockton, TX: You will be in awe of the transformative power of nature this morning at Palo Duro Canyon, the second largest canyon system in the U.S. Watch for hoodoos and the beautiful colors of the geologic layers. Continue to Fort Stockton for overnight. (B, D)

Day 5 • Big Bend National Park: Today, take in the grandeur of Big Bend National Park with a guided tour. Overnight near Marathon, TX. (B, BL)

Day 6 • San Antonio, TX: We head for San Antonio today, where we spend two nights at the Drury Inn on the famed River Walk. Explore the shops, lush landscapes and beautiful sights along the banks of the San Antonio River tonight. (B)

Day 7 • The Alamo: Meet our city guide this morning and visit Mission San Jose and the SAS Shoe Factory. You’ll definitely “Remember The Alamo” after our tour of the fascinating shrine of Texas liberty. Enjoy the beauty of the city on your own tonight. (B, L)

Day 8 • Houston, TX: Visit the Texas dude ranch Rancho Cortez and discover the splendor of Texas Hill Country and its wildlife. Travel on to Houston, our home for the next two nights. (B, L)

Day 9 • Cows and Space: Uncover the mysteries of outer space with an exhilarating visit to the Space Center Houston, the visitor center for NASA’s Johnson Space Center. Tonight, we have reserved seats at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, the world’s largest event of its kind! (B)

Day 10 • Dallas: Today, we visit the Stock Yards of Fort Worth, where we watch the exciting longhorn cattle drive down Main Street! Tonight, enjoy authentic Texas pit barbecue before checking into our Dallas hotel for the next 2 nights. (B, D)

Day 11 • Historical Touring:  Enjoy a guided tour of Dallas this morning. History is the buzzword today as we visit the Sixth Floor Museum, which chronicles the assassination and legacy of JFK. We also tour the George W. Bush Presidential Library. (B)
Day 12 • Texarkana, AR: Begin our day at Southfork Ranch, made famous on the TV hit Dallas. Here, enjoy a tram tour of the property, a formal tour of the mansion and The Ewing Barbecue in Bobby’s Boardroom. Overnight in Texarkana. (B, L, D)

Day 13 • Nashville, TN: Depart this morning for Tennessee, stopping for BBQ lunch in Memphis. Overnight at the Drury Inn in Nashville. Tonight, you’re free to relax or explore downtown Music City. (B, L)
Day 14 • Home: Arrive home tonight from our adventure to the canyons, prairies and cities “Deep in the Heart of Texas.” (B)
