Day 1 • Effingham, IL: Embark on our tour of the Old South, stopping for lunch at the historic Red Brick Tavern in London, OH. Overnight in Effingham. (L)

Day 2 • Memphis, TN: Arrive this afternoon at the Memphis Pyramid, an iconic part of the city’s skyline. The Pro Bass Shop boasts an aquarium, bowling alley, an observation deck and more. (B)

Day 3 • Natchez, MS: Today we tour Vicksburg National Military Park with a local guide. This is our nation’s best preserved Civil War Battlefield depicting the siege of Vicksburg. After an elegant dinner in Natchez, enjoy the show Mississippi Music All Shook Up. Our hotel is in Natchez the next two nights.  (B, D)

Day 4 • Historical Homes: Beauty abounds as we enjoy guided tours of five historical homes in Natchez. View the antiques and hear colorful stories from costumed interpreters. Dine tonight at one of the homes with live entertainment. (B, D)

Day 5 • Louisiana Charm: This morning, take a guided tour the Louisiana State Capitol building in Baton Rouge. The view from the top of the tallest capitol in the US is breathtaking! Check into our hotel near the New Orleans French Quarter for the next two nights. We'll have a guided tour of the city of N'Awlins and enjoy a demonstration at the New Orlean's School of Cooking. (B, D)

Day 6 • New Orleans: Start the day at the National World War II Museum. Exhibits include artifacts, photographs and film depicting the “War that Changed the World.” Experience the film "Beyond All Boundaries" prior to visiting the French market district. Be sure to try a world-famous beignet! Dinner is included tonight and the city is yours for the evening. (B, D)

Day 7 • Mobile, AL: Travel along the picturesque Gulf Coast for a fun morning getting up close with dolphins and sea lions and manatees — oh my! — at the Institute for Marine Mammal Studies. This afternoon, you will be enchanted by Bellingrath Gardens and Home’s 65 acres of floral pageantry. March is prime Azalea bloom time. Embark on a dinner cruise this evening, overnighting in

Mobile. (B, D)

Day 8 • Montgomery, AL: Travel into the Sunshine State this morning for a guided tour of Pensacola, FL. Learn about the city’s architecture, landmarks and history. In Montgomery, tour the First White House of the Confederacy. The Italianate style home where Jefferson Davis’ family lived holds authentic furnishings from the 1800s. Hear about how they preserved this historic home.

Dinner tonight is at B.B. King’s Blues Club and our hotel is the Drury Inn Montgomery. (B, D)

Day 9 • Nashville, TN: We venture north, stopping in Nashville, TN. Enjoy free time in Music City this afternoon then dinner and the Nashville Nightlife show. Overnight at the Drury Inn. (B D)

Day 10 • Home: Return home tonight from our elegant southern getaway filled with flowers, history and music! (B)
