Day 1: Overnight Flight
Day 2: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil - Tour Begins

Welcome to Rio de Janeiro! Magnificent views, beautiful beaches, flamboyant Carnival costumes, great cuisine and friendly people make Rio the cultural capital of Brazil. Witness the transformation taking place as Rio prepares to host the 2016 Summer Olympics. You may want to stroll down the beach of the "Girl from Ipanema" and see lovely Flamengo Park. Tonight, learn how to craft caipirinhas – Brazil’s famous cocktail made with sugar cane liquor and lime – before having dinner with your fellow travelers in a typical Brazilian churrascaria. Today dinner will be included.
Day 3: Rio de Janeiro
Start your day with a visit to Corcovado by train to see Christ the Redeemer, one of the largest Art Deco statues in the world. Enjoy panoramic vistas of Tijuca Forest National Park, the world’s largest urban forest. To one side you’ll view the city and its centerpiece, the Maracanã Football Stadium, host to soccer’s 2014 World Cup. On the other side lies the lagoon, beaches and the Atlantic Ocean. Continue exploring downtown Rio, the famous Cathedral and many other sites of interest on a locally guided tour. The rest of the afternoon is yours to take in the sights and sounds of Copacabana Beach. Today breakfast will be included.
Day 4: Rio de Janeiro
This is your chance to experience the “Marvelous City” your way. Make the most of a full day at leisure to relax or discover more of Rio on your own. Perhaps you’ll take an optional excursion to either Sugarloaf or historical Santa Teresa. Today breakfast will be included.
Day 5: Rio de Janeiro - Iguazu Falls, Argentina
Fly to Iguazu Falls – located at the crossroads of Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay – heralded as the most beautiful waterfall in the world. Enjoy a walking tour of the Brazilian side of Iguazu Falls before settling in to your hotel overlooking the Rio Iguazu. Today breakfast will be included.
Day 6: Iguazu Falls
Board the Rainforest Ecological Train inside the national park on the Argentine side and walk to the platform overlooking powerful Devil’s Throat. Discover unparalleled views of five waterfalls as they plummet into the Iguazu River. This afternoon you may choose an optional jungle boat ride at the base of the falls or just relax at your hotel. Tonight’s dinner is near the Three Frontiers Landmark where the Iguazu and Parana rivers converge. Today breakfast and dinner will be included.
Day 7: Iguazu Falls - Buenos Aires
Fly to Buenos Aires, birthplace of the tango. Stretching along the banks of the Rio de la Plata, the “Paris of South America” is a mosaic of European-styled architecture and South American spirit. Tonight, enjoy an interactive presentation from a local resident where you can ask questions about daily life in Buenos Aires before enjoying an authentic parrilla dinner together. Today breakfast and dinner will be included.
Day 8: Buenos Aires
Today enjoy a guided tour of the capital. See the lavish Teatro Colon opera house; the Avenida 9 de Julio; Recoleta Cemetery, where Evita Peron rests; the Presidential Palace, the Casa Rosada; the colorful La Boca neighborhood and the historic San Telmo barrio. Later, stroll through San Martin Park or Calle de Florida, a shopper’s paradise. This evening, savor Argentine cuisine and wine before embracing the art of the dance that has made Buenos Aires famous during a stunning tango performance. Today breakfast and dinner will be included.
Day 9: Buenos Aires
Today is yours to explore the cultural delights of Buenos Aires. Visit a local market, art museum or spend the afternoon at an elegant sidewalk café. Or perhaps you’ll choose to cross the Argentine Pampas to experience the culture of Argentina’s gauchos at a typical estancia, where you’ll enjoy a hearty asado lunch – a typical Argentine barbecue – and a horse whispering show by an authentic gaucho. The rest of the day is yours to explore this magnificent city. Today breakfast will be included.
Day 10: Buenos Aires - Santiago, Chile
Fly to Santiago de Chile. Upon arrival, embark on a city tour viewing such sights as the La Moneda Presidential Palace and Paseo Ahumada pedestrian avenue. Ride the funicular up Cerro San Cristobal for sweeping views of Santiago and the Andes, and admire the Statue of the Immaculate Conception. Meet the locals at a bustling market where delicacies such as Chilean sea bass are abundant. The evening is yours to explore this wonderful city on your own. Today breakfast will be included.
Day 11: Santiago
Enjoy a full day at leisure to explore fabulous Santiago on your own. Or you may choose to discover Chilean wines during a tasting at an elegant local winery. Or perhaps visit Viña del Mar and Valparaiso, two gorgeous coastal towns with incredible history. Tonight, join your fellow travelers for a farewell dinner. Today breakfast and dinner will be included.
Day 12: Santiago - Tour Ends
Transfer to the airport for your flight home. Today breakfast will be included.
