 Day 1 • Washington, D.C.: Upon arrival in our nation’s capital we will see the famed Terra-Cotta Warriors Exhibit at the National Geographic Museum. Thousands of these soldiers were discovered in 1974 in China in one of the greatest archeological finds. They are over 2000 years old! Fifteen of the life sized warriors will be here including weapons, coins and more! This evening we will visit the touching Pentagon Memorial remembering September 11, 2001 and those who died. Dinner is on your own tonight at the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City. If time allows we will enjoy a night driving tour of the city.
Day 2 • Smithsonian Museums : This morning we will arrive at the FDR and Jefferson Memorials for time to explore. Our next stop is the World War II Memorial. There will be plenty of free time today to explore the amazing Smithsonian Museums. The Smithsonian’s have so much to offer - Air & Space, the newly renovated American History, Natural History and more! You may also wish to visit other nearby sights on your own. We return home late evening.
